Pilasters Plinths & Capitals
Planning Your Space
- Always install the plinth [bottom] first, then the pilaster
and the capital [top] last.
- Measure the total vertical length of installation area.
- Next measure the height of both the plinth [bottom] and
capital [top] and subtract from pilaster length.
- Ex: Total Installation Length is 8 feet [-] plinth height
11-3/4" [-] capital height 6-1/2" [=] 78-1/4 inches or 6
feet - 5-1/4 inches. The pilaster length is 79" so you would
need to cut ¾" from the bottom of the pilaster for this
installation.
- Cut the pilaster, from the bottom only [the flutes run
to the edge of the plinth bottom], with circular or carpenter's
saw.

| Before Installation
- Due to the small size and intricate detail of these products,
we recommend that you finish [paint or faux finish] the
product before installation.
- After installation touch-up any area as needed.
Surface Preparation
- Clean all surfaces free of dirt and loose particles with
a clean cloth or sponge. Make sure area is completely dry
before installing.
- Measure and mark the location where you want to install
the product.
